Cycleway for families in South Tyrol

On two wheels with the whole family in South Tyrol

Cycling is a good and funny sport at all ages! South Tyrol offers especially for families, many cycleway to make cycling safe and far from the dangers of traffic.

The most famous cycleway is the one from Dobbiaco to Lienz up to over 40 km along the river Drava.
The landscape that can be contemplated during the journey, is truly unique!

The course is slightly downhill to Lienz, even small children can face the path without too many problems! Along the cycleway there are many areas with benches and tables for a pleasant picnic.

The return can be done by train, that will bring you back in little more than half an hour at the point of departure. On the train you can also upload your bike and return without too much effort.

Going in the opposite direction, from Dobbiaco you can reach Brunico and Campo Tures, two other locations very suggestive of South Tyrol.

There are cycleways that also connect Bressanone, Sterzing, Merano and Bolzano.

For those who have small children, there is the possibility to rent comfortable leads baby carriages, which are attached to the bike and can carry up to 2 children.
